Tasks & responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications
Ensure food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and hygiene
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow
Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste
Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures

Qualifications & experience

Proven at least 2 years experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Meticulous approach to food preparation and presentation
Have a full operational knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes and presentation style of dishes produced within the kitchen
Check the freshness and quality of ingredients
Prepare curries, sauces and desserts as and when required
