This position will require the candidate to be available across a 7-day rosterIn this role, you will take responsibility for rostering, menu planning; ordering and serve top quality food to patrons.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities will include:- Planning of menu items and liaising with the Restaurant Manger on costs/expenses- Assisting with all aspects of food preparation- Supervising kitchen staff and working collectively to meet restaurant demands- Checking of kitchen inventory and ordering of supplies as required- Estimating of all restaurant costs including food, labour and incidentals- Mentoring and training of junior staff as required- Monitoring of food preparation to ensure high standards are adhered to at all times- Assisting the Head Chef in planning Staff Rosters- Adhering to all OH&amp;S regulations and regular updating of policies as required&nbsp;Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a busy kitchen environment- Certificate IV or higher in commercial cooking- Expertise in the hospitality sector- Superior customer service focus- Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise with a diverse clientele- Flexible, adaptable and ability to work weekdays and weekends- Well-presented and professional- Ability to work effectively under pressure- Team player with a can-do attitude who can also work effectively unsupervised- Understanding of OH&amp;S and food hygiene requirements&nbsp;Salary Range: $73,000 - $80,000 (Commensuration with experience)If you possess all the above criteria, please apply for this position&nbsp;
