We are seeking a Field Supervisor Arborist to oversee and direct arboricultural operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role is central to supervising tree crews, managing projects, conducting tree assessments, and contributing to the overall health and sustainability of Melbourne’s urban forest.
This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise in arboriculture, and excellent communication skills.
Supervision & Leadership
Manage and mentor a team of climbing and EWP arborists
Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Work Planning & Execution
Coordinate and supervise field staff to ensure efficient completion of pruning and tree removal operations
Tree Assessments & Management
Conduct detailed tree assessments
Evaluate tree health, identify risks, and develop tailored work plans
Safety Compliance
Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines
Project Management
Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for arboricultural projects
Record Keeping
Maintain accurate records of all tree work, including assessments, treatments, and client communications
Training & Development
Assist in the creation and delivery of training programs for team members
Certificate II in ESI
Certificate III in Arboriculture
Proven experience in supervising teams
MR or HR truck licence
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
