Arambh Pty Ltd is the new operator of the established hospitality venue, Alatonero. We are seeking experienced, motivated Chefs at multiple levels (Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, and Commis Chef) to join our kitchen teams. 

These roles are suited to culinary professionals with commercial kitchen experience who can maintain high food quality standards, work efficiently during service, and contribute to a structured, professional kitchen environment.

Successful applicants will be employed on a full-time, permanent basis.

Task & responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
  • Manage designated kitchen sections efficiently during service
  • Maintain consistency in food presentation, portion control, and quality
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
  • Assist with menu preparation, specials development, and seasonal updates
  • Monitor stock levels, minimise wastage, and assist with ordering where required
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff where applicable
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house and management teams to ensure smooth service delivery

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment (experience level may vary depending on chef classification)
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced service periods
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification), or
  • Relevant industry experience in lieu of formal qualification
  • Fluency in English & professional approach
