At The Trustee for Alpine Heritage Hotel Unit Trust, the Hotel or Motel Manager leads and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Alpine Heritage Hotel to ensure the efficient delivery of accommodation, dining, and related guest services. The role oversees front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and event operations, supervises staff and property maintenance, monitors guest satisfaction, manages budgeting and purchasing functions, and ensures compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, and workplace health and safety regulations while maintaining high service and operational standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing daily operations across accommodation services, including front office, reservations, housekeeping, and in-room services.
  • Coordinating food and beverage operations such as bar, restaurant, conferences, and special events to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Monitoring compliance with liquor licensing, gaming regulations, and all relevant legislative requirements.
  • Overseeing financial functions, including budgeting, purchasing, stock control, and general accounting processes.
  • Supervising property upkeep, including maintenance of buildings, gardens, and overall facility presentation.
  • Implementing and monitoring security procedures to safeguard guests, staff, and assets.
  • Evaluating guest feedback and service standards to improve customer satisfaction and operational performance.
  • Ensuring adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and regulatory obligations.
  • Providing guests with information about local attractions and services, and organising tours or transport arrangements where required.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage flexible working hours, including weekends and public holidays.

WORKING HOURS

Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
