THE COAST BAR AND RESTAURANT PTY LTD t/a Willo's Kitchen by Symeon & Co is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join their team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for leading daily kitchen operations, preparing high-quality dishes, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in culinary arts who takes pride in delivering excellent food and contributing to a collaborative kitchen culture. Task & responsibilities

  • Plan and develop seasonal menus in collaboration with the Head Chef or independently as required 
  • Supervise and lead kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality, consistency, and presentation standards 
  • Oversee inventory management and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment 
  • Enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels and manage kitchen supplies effectively
  • Work closely with the team to ensure smooth service during peak hours 
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and tools are cleaned, maintained, and used safely 
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to junior kitchen staff

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum 1 years of experience as a Chef or in similar role 
  • Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or higher in similar discipline 
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills 
  • Food safety and hygiene certification
