Salary: $76,515 to $80,000 annually + superannuation

Primi Italian Pty Ltd, trading as Primi Italian, is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join its high-volume, professional, and fine dining environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality restaurant dishes while ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and freshness. The Chef will maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, and comply with work health and safety regulations. Additionally, the Chef will collaborate closely with the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Duties:

- Plan menus, oversee the quality of dishes during both the preparation and presentation stages.

 - Communicate with managers, kitchen and service staff regarding food preparation matters. 

- Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on preparation methods. 

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established standards. 

- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. 

- Assist in the selection and training of kitchen staff as needed. 

- Oversee food preservation processes, including freezing and storage procedures.

Qualifications & Work Experience

Minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent overseas qualification or equivalent work experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in related field

In-dept knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations
