Chef

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to oversee food preparation and maintain high kitchen standards at our busy burger restaurant in Jindalee WA 6036. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing menu items, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are consistently met.

You will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.

Task & responsibilities

•    Plan and organise food preparation and cooking activities.

•    Prepare and cook a variety of burgers, sides, sauces, and other menu items.

•    Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation.

•    Develop and update menu items in collaboration with management.

•    Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate kitchen operations during service.

•    Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations.

•    Manage stock levels, food ordering, and ingredient storage.

•    Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure efficient use of resources.

•    Train and guide junior kitchen staff where required.

Qualification & experience

•    Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent industry experience.

•    Minimum 1–3 years of full-time experience working as a Chef or in a similar role.

•    Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably casual dining or burger restaurants.

•    Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.

•    Ability to manage time effectively and work well under pressure.

•    Strong teamwork and communication skills.

•    Passion for quality food and attention to detail.
