As aChef, you'll work closely with our Head Chef and owners to craft and execute a menu rooted in regional Victorian produce. This is a hands-on role ideal for a chef who loves the rhythm of a small, professional kitchen and thrives on delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes with consistency and creativity.

Task & responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day kitchen operations and service delivery
- Take the lead in the Head Chef’s absence
- Contribute to seasonal menu planning and farm-to-table innovation
- Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are met (HACCP knowledge required)
- Mentor and support junior kitchen staff
- Help manage stock, ordering, and cost control
- Collaborate with front-of-house and owners to deliver a memorable guest experience
Qualification & experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally as a Chef
- Passionate about local, sustainable food and regional hospitality
- Confident working in a fast-paced yet quality-driven environment
- Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and eager to be part of a close-knit team
- Formal culinary qualifications preferred
