The Beaten Track Brewery, a well-known craft brewery and restaurant in Kalgoorlie, is seeking a skilled and motivated Cook / Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are looking for someone passionate about food, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering high-quality meals.

Task & responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure food preparation and cooking meat quality and presentation expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Assist with food preparation, portion control, and stock rotation.
  • Monitor food supplies and assist with ordering where required.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Assist in maintaining consistency in food quality during busy service periods.

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum Certificate IV level qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience as a cook or chef.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
