Nala Bhima Kitchen is looking for two experienced Cooks to join our growing Indian restaurant business, with one position based at our Campbelltown restaurant in Campbelltown, SA 5074, and the other at our Adelaide City restaurant in Adelaide, SA 5000. We are dedicated to delivering authentic South Indian, Indo-Chinese and Tandoori cuisine using traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients. Benefits

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 per Annum + Superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

• Preparing and cook menu items in accordance with the restaurant's recipes and standards. 
• Ensuring all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards. 
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding chutneys, sambar, curry and presentation specifications set by the restaurant. 
• Demonstrating understanding of safety principles and correct use of equipment.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation. 
• Following health and safety procedures required to complete tasks safely.
• Following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. 
• Ensuring correct temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment. 
• Communicating effectively, particularly about health and safety, hygiene, and quality control issues.

Qualification & experience

• Ideally, you’ll have a formal qualification and 1 year experience or 3 years of commercial experience are required.
• Knowledge of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques are essential as ours is an Indian Restaurant.
• Experience in commercial kitchen and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handling pressure is essential. 
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. 
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 
• Ability to follow instructions and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
