As our Cook, you will be responsible for creating and delivering exceptional culinary experiences for &nbsp;guests, while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and kitchen operations.To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 2 years' experience in a similar position.You will work under chefKey Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Examine food ingredients before preparation to ensure they are fresh, suitable and of the required quality.</li><li>Prepare meat, seafood, vegetables, herbs, sauces and other ingredients according to menu specifications and established recipes.</li><li>Cook food using commercial kitchen equipment, including woks, pans, ovens, grills and deep fryers.</li><li>Prepare a variety of Indian i dishes, including curries, Biryanis ,Side dishes like samosa , rice dishes, Dal, salads and Indian sweets.</li><li>Season food during preparation and cooking to achieve the required flavour, texture and consistency</li><li>regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment</li></ul><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding Indian &nbsp;garnishes</li><li>storing food in temperature controlled facilities</li><li>preparing food to meet special dietary requirements</li><li>may plan menus and estimate food requirements</li><li>Monitor stock rotation, storage dates and expiry dates and dispose of unsuitable or expired food.</li><li>Assist with estimating food requirements and preparing ingredients for upcoming services.</li><li>Assist with training junior kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques and the safe use of kitchen equipment when required.</li><li>Maintain the cleanliness of food preparation areas, cooking equipment, utensils and storage areas.</li><li>Follow food hygiene procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food is handled safely.</li><li>Conduct routine checks of kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.</li><li>Comply with applicable food safety, food handling and Australian workplace health and safety requirements.</li><li>Contribute to a cooperative, productive and well-organised kitchen environment.</li><li>may train other kitchen staff and apprentices</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualification &amp; experience<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>At least two years of relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.</li><li>experience preparing and cooking Indian cuisine is highly regarded.</li><li>Knowledge of India ingredients, sauces, seasonings and traditional cooking techniques.</li><li>AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications &nbsp;or AQF Certificate IV&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to use commercial cooking equipment safely and effectively.</li><li>Good understanding of food hygiene, food storage and kitchen safety requirements.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple food orders while maintaining quality and presentation standards.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding flavour, portioning and presentation.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Ability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.</li><li>Reliable, organised and committed to maintaining consistent food quality.</li></ul>Salary :$71,000 - $80,000 Annually plus super&nbsp;&nbsp;
