As a key member of our bakery, you will play a vital role in crafting high-quality pastries, cakes, and other baked goods that delight our customers daily.&nbsp;&nbsp; <h3>Benefits</h3>Full time permanent positionCompetitive salary plus superannuationSupportive team environmentOpportunities for professional development <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Prepare and bake artisan pastries, cakes, buns and specialty baked goods in line with Skala Bakery production standardsCheck quality of raw materials and accurately weigh and measure ingredientsKnead, laminate, mix, cut, mould and shape dough and pastry products using traditional artisan techniquesPrepare pastry fillings, creams and glazes according to established recipesMonitor oven temperatures and product appearance to ensure consistent baking qualityGlaze pastries and decorate cakes with cream, icing and finishing elementsOperate and maintain bakery equipment including mixers, dough sheeters and ovensMaintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas in compliance with food safety and WHS requirements <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>Certificate III or Certificate IV in Patisserie or equivalent qualificationMinimum one year full time relevant experience as a Pastry Cook in a commercial bakeryStrong knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirementsAbility to operate commercial bakery equipment and work in a fast paced production environment
