The successful candidate will play a key role in food preparation, Teppanyaki grill operations, and the day-to-day management of kitchen operations.This position requires a chef with strong technical teppanyaki cooking skills, leadership capability, and experience in kitchen management, including inventory control, food cost control, and staff supervision.<h2>Key Duties and Responsibilities</h2>Prepare, cook, and present Japanese Teppanyaki dishes in line with Murasaki Teppanyaki’s menu and quality standardsOperate the Teppanyaki grill efficiently, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and timingManage daily kitchen operations, including preparation, service, and clean-downSupervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staffManage inventory control, stock rotation, ordering, and waste minimisationMonitor and implement food cost control measuresEnsure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulationsAssist in menu development and refinement in line with seasonal produce and customer preferencesMaintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment<h2>Skills and Experience Required</h2>Minimum 3 years’ experience as a chefExperience in Japanese Teppanyaki restaurants is mandatoryDemonstrated skills in Teppanyaki cooking techniques and grill operationProven experience in:Kitchen operations managementInventory and stock controlCost control and waste reductionStaff supervision and team leadershipSolid knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirementsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management, orDiploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent<h2>What We Offer</h2>Annual salary of $80,000 – $85,000, commensurate with experienceSecure, full-time employmentOpportunity to work in an established Japanese Teppanyaki restaurantSupportive and professional kitchen environmentLong-term career growth opportunities&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
