<ul><li>Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle</li><li>Conducting pre-starts on trucks</li><li>Follow all OH&amp;S regulations and furthering the safety culture by&nbsp;ensuring strict adherence to road rules and transport legislation</li><li>Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance</li><li>Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck, flatbed to prevent damage/injury</li><li>Pick-up and safely transport goods and deliver materials to various projects/intended destination</li><li>Ensure completion of the scheduled runsheet within your shift</li><li>Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups and ensure the completed runsheet is provided to office at the end of your shift</li><li>Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment</li><li>Keep company truck clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is road compliant</li><li>Yard work – taking deliveries, operating forklift etc</li><li>Manual loading and unloading of freight&nbsp;</li><li>Completing consignment notes and POD receipts</li><li>Carrying out deliveries within strict time frames</li><li>Liaising with business owners on a daily basis</li><li>Adhering to strict fatigue and safety procedures</li><li>Communicate with the office by phone to update them of issues or concerns relating to the driver’s run</li><li>Follow scheduled jobs as per the provided runsheet sent the night prior</li><li>Maintain communication with management to be informed of any damage to customer property, or the company’s property</li><li>Treat customers with respect and ensure you provide outstanding customer service</li><li>Ensure a solid understanding of fatigue management</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>MR, HC and MC Driving License with minimum 3 years’ experience</li><li>Previous Experience working in a sensitive freight environment</li><li>Positive disposition and high personal standards</li><li>Team player/flexibility</li><li>Well-presented and excellent communication skills</li><li>Productive/solution minded work habits</li><li>Focus on excellent customer service</li><li>Willing to contribute and learn</li><li>This job is for you if you are multi skilled, enjoy the challenge of driving and have had experience in the waste industry in this field.</li><li>Experience is valuable however reliability, motivation &amp; positive attitude are essential</li></ul>&nbsp;
