About The Health Centre

Kuttabul Health Centre is located on HMAS Kuttabul in Potts Point and the area itself has been host to a naval base since 1856. It is home to Fleet Support Unit South-East (FSU-SE) which conducts maintenance on ships and submarines. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, outpatients, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy services to the ADF population. This mid-size health centre has up to 4,500 members and provides services for overseas visiting personnel. Standard operating hours are 0730-1530 Monday-Friday.

What You’ll Do

Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients. Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards. Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information. Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements. Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests. 

What You Bring

Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable) Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
