About the role An Indian Affair is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiting Staff to join our team in Armidale. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality environment. You will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Key responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Greeting guests warmly and seating them at tables in accordance with restaurant procedures</li>
<li>Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, with comprehensive product knowledge</li>
<li>Serving meals and drinks promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times</li>
<li>Responding to guest enquiries and special requests with courtesy and attentiveness</li>
<li>Clearing tables promptly and maintaining a clean, tidy dining environment</li>
<li>Processing payments and managing the point-of-sale system accurately</li>
<li>Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow</li>
<li>Adhering to food safety, health and hygiene standards and company policies</li>
<li>Maintaining professional appearance and demeanour throughout shifts</li>
</ul>
What we're looking for
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in waiting or front-of-house hospitality roles (preferred but not essential)</li>
<li>Must be locals to the area</li>
<li>No ongoing commitments with UNE that may affect availability</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service</li>
<li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail</li>
<li>Flexibility and reliability, with availability for casual shifts including evenings and weekends</li>
<li>Positive attitude, team player mentality and willingness to support colleagues</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards</li>
<li>Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required</li>
<li>Australian RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain it</li>
</ul>
 
Work Hours Weekdays: 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM
Weekends : 5:00PM - 10:00 PM
