If you are passionate about food and ready to take on a dynamic role in a busy restaurant environment, we would like to hear from you.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare and cook full-course meals using high-quality ingredients.</li><li>Prepare a variety of Korean BBQ dishes and other menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.</li><li>Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers to ensure smooth kitchen operations.</li><li>Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.</li><li>Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or dietary intolerances.</li><li>Estimate food requirements and associated costs to maintain kitchen efficiency.</li><li>Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies.</li><li>Maintain appropriate portion control and minimise food wastage.</li><li>Keep the kitchen and work areas clean while training staff on hygiene and food-safety standards.</li><li>Season and cook food according to recipes, menu specifications and personal judgement.</li><li>Regulate and monitor the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, cooktops and other cooking equipment.</li><li>Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure required standards are maintained.</li><li>Assist other cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods or emergencies.</li><li>Support the Head Chef/management in maintaining consistent food quality and efficient kitchen operations.</li></ul><h3>What We’re Looking For</h3><ul><li>Minimum 1- &nbsp;2 years' experience as a Sous Chef &nbsp;from a Korean Restaurant– required</li><li>Relevant commercial cookery qualification preferred.</li><li>Experience working in a busy restaurant or commercial kitchen environment.</li><li>Knowledge of Korean cuisine and Korean BBQ cooking techniques will be highly regarded.</li><li>Strong communication skills – written and verbal.</li><li>Self-motivated, responsible and proactive in daily duties.</li><li>Excellent organisational and time-management skills.</li><li>Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.</li><li>Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.</li><li>Availability for rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.</li></ul><h3>Employment Details</h3>Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000 – $81000 per year + SuperannuationSchedule:<ul><li>8-hour shift</li><li>Shift work</li><li>Rotating roster</li><li>Weekend availability</li></ul>Work Authorisation:Australia – Preferred
